Welcome to our school's website

As Acting Headteacher of St. John Fisher Catholic Primary School I would like to warmly welcome you to our school, a learning community that is guided by our faith, love of God and the Gospel Values.

St. John Fisher is a happy, caring, spiritual, respectful and hardworking environment, where we as a Catholic community celebrate the successes of our children in all areas of school life through our broad and balanced curriculum.

Following our recent OFSTED inspection, St. John Fisher is a “Good” school overall in each of five key categories of assessment;

* Effectiveness of leadership and management
* Quality of teaching, learning and assessment
* Personal development, behaviour and welfare
* Outcomes for pupils
* Early years provision

A link to the full OFSTED report can be found on our school website under Statutory Info – Inspection Reports.

The report highlights the many strengths that can be found within our school and praises the hard work and dedication of all of the staff and governors, who have focused on improving the quality of teaching and learning to raise pupils’ achievement.

We are delighted that many of our pupils were able to share their personal views of our school, as were so many parents. This has enabled inspectors to positively reflect on all that the school does to ensure your children achieve well and enjoy their time with us in a safe and secure environment. We now look forward to continuing the journey and building on our success.

OFSTED’s recognition of this achievement through the awarding of a ‘Good’ assessment is a positive validation of all our efforts. We are especially proud of all the staff and would like to thank them for their dedication and hard work.

Mr. S. Kelliher
