Mrs P Bryson-Headteacher

Welcome to our school's website

As the Headteacher of St John Fisher Catholic Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our new academic year, September 2018.
I am once more honoured and excited to lead St John Fisher in its development and growth as a Catholic School.

Over the past year, we have worked as a team of pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community to ensure the children live out their gospel values and make the most of all the opportunities afforded them at this wonderful school. I am committed to realising our vision of developing St John Fisher into a school that the children enjoy coming to, where learning takes place and memories are made.

Our school has recently had an OFSTED inspection on the 25th and 26th September 2018 and we are extremely pleased and proud to be able to report to you that the school has been assessed as being a “Good” school overall and in each of five key categories of assessment;
* Effectiveness of leadership and management
* Quality of teaching, learning and assessment
* Personal development, behaviour and welfare
* Outcomes for pupils
* Early years provision

A link to the full OFSTED report can be found on our school website under Statutory Info – Inspection Reports.

The report highlights the many strengths that can be found within the school and praises the hard work and dedication of all of the staff and governors, who have focused on improving the quality of teaching and learning to raise pupils’ achievement.

We are delighted that many of our pupils were able to share their personal views of our school, as were so many parents. This has enabled inspectors to positively reflect on all that the school does to ensure your children achieve well and enjoy their time with us in a safe and secure environment. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our parents, pupils and members of the wider community who continue to support our school and who recognise what a great place St John Fisher Catholic Primary School is!

OFSTED’s recognition of this achievement through the awarding of a ‘Good’ assessment is a positive validation of all our efforts. We are now looking forward to continuing the journey and building on our success. I am especially proud of my staff and would like to thank them for their dedication and hard work.

If you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to come and visit. The children of St John Fisher Catholic Primary School enjoy talking about and sharing their achievements and our successes.

Mrs P Bryson
